Clouds rolling in from the South
Looking to the South-West
Looking a little threatening
but beautiful to the North
the Sun makes an attempt to break through
but it is getting darker by the minute
Rain drops are falling on my head,
time to scarper!

At first I love clouds too and your photos are interesting and enjoyable.
Then I have to say that when I read your profile, -i was smiling, because I live in the small town with my husband and the golden retriever ( no cats :) and we have two daughters, one son, four granddaughters and two grandsons :) I love knitting, my fingers don`t like any more crocheting crocheting but I can do photo books to grandchildren instead of it.

Those are very threatening skies. We had quit a lot of them too here last weeks. It has been a bad summer for us.
Clouds are endlessly interesting, constantly changing shape and even colour in short periods.

In answer to the last two comments, yes it did rain, and how, we had a waterfall over our back door, the guttering could not cope with the deluge. And right now we are facing another one, with a hurricane supposedly heading our way after veering away from the USA.

Hi Jackie this is an interesting selection of sky pics. I have been looking through your other blogs as well. We also have a collection of cats - four of them that rule out lives.
Btw the elephant was close by. I was using a 70-300mm zoom but could not fit the whole animal in the frame. The Addo elephants are very docile and sometimes they can get so close to your car that you can almost reach out and touch them. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.

Oh my, the clouds in your penultimate photo are ominous! I'd have been fleeing indoors at that point (so my camera wouldn't get wet, lol) ~ you were very brave!
Your skies are lovely and must be expansive as well, to be able to see such contrasts in the same sky at the same time. That blue sky photo seems so out of place with those storm clouds, but our skies here in Wyoming will often have that same schizophrenic look. :-)
