Sky Watch Friday - Clouds and Sunsets

This past week has been a crazy busy one, and I am late checking in on last Tuesdays contributions; so I am putting up some photo's of clouds and sunsets that I took on the 27th of September.  I will most likely be late getting around to checking on todays contributions too as I have to be out most of tomorrow searching out fabric for a Roman Centurions costume, then I have to get it made by Monday!

The cumulus almost seemed to be swirling vortex
Patches of  Velum and an 'almost' mini Kelvin-Helmholtz
 A parting of the clouds
A cropped shot of the parting of the clouds
 Sun setting over the villages
I love the blend of colours
For more sky and cloudscapes
from around the world

Sunsets shot through trees are always enchanting and somewhat mysterious!

Beautiful! My goal is to learn a small fraction as much as you know about clouds.

Just can't have too many clouds!! I used to look for the Aussie Outback clear blue skies - which are magnificent - but the more interesting shots come with clouds!

I like the Fall skies and the change of seasons. Thanks for your note about the Perusich family--I don't think Claudia & George are still around, but I've had some of the clan in classes over the years and will inquire when I see them. As for weather here, we often have a high of 80 deg F one day and a high of 50 the next--especially this time of year. Snowline is gradually creeping down the ridges around town--it's at c. 7,000 feet right now (town is c. 6,000).

Hi Jackie
thanks for the visit. Your skies are so expansive...they are like canvases for the clouds to paint themselves on...

Happy days
