Sky Watch Friday - Weather Fronts and Sunsets

Tuesday afternoon on the way home from town I took pics of a weather front rolling in, dark clouds promising rain, and we had some heavy rain during the night and the following morning the sky was featureless Nimbostratus, we had a waterfall over our back door again.  Today, Thursday, started out the same way but eventually gave way to a few little clouds, by late afternoon the Sun actually showed itself and we had a beautiful Sunset.  The last two pics are from the shots I took this evening.  The Banner shot was taken on the 7th. of this month.

Those grey clouds certainly create a sense of foreboding and your sunset shots is just gorgeous.

Hi there - the banner shot is a real keeper!

But I also like the grey clouds - you don’t get the green that the UK is so famous for without grey clouds!

Feels like the first real day of spring here today - get ready for winter!

oh my, these are some sweeping views of the land and sky. those are some dramatic skies too - I love the cloud formations, especially in the first photo. you live in a beautiful area. and we have something in common besides photography - I have three kitties too. they're sisters that were born in my barn when I lived in the country. now they're 14 years old but doing very well. thanks for stopping by my blog and saying hello - I truly appreciate it. happy weekend to you Jackie.

It's true you have the same sky as I have over my head ! Exept the beautiful sunrise (or sunset) which didn't happen for weeks because it's misty in the mornings. Since Friday the sun is shining but it's cold !! 11 ° !
Today we put the garden furniture away. Summer is over !

About Boomer's leash. The haltie collar, not a muzzle, is used to train pulling dogs in place of the choke chain. Boomer was trained to walk me after my accident, so he heals, and does not pull, and will in fact stand while I use his weight to pull myself up an incline. As well the haltie acts as a silent rein in the forest to let him know which way we're going. He knows how to get rid of it in a flash. All this speaks to Boomer's intelligence as malamutes are not used usually for this purpose. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.

Your skies are fantastic, The rosy ones are unbelievable. I see those from time to time but never manage to capture them like you did.
